Welcome to BankSafeTech, a blog AND technology forum dedicated to the banking IT community. The intent and hope of this website is to provide an online community for technical administrators and banking compliance officers to meet, discuss, and share banking operational issues, solutions, and emerging technical challenges from a cybersecurity perspective.
To be sure, there are many online resources available today, and BankSafeTech did not invent a new or better method for distilling all cybersecurity information. No. The premise is simple; gather people challenged with securing today’s banking infrastructure and facilitate their ability to help themselves. IT Technologies change so quickly, and sometimes radically, that most small financial institutions find it difficult to truly assess the risks and implications in their adoption. Wouldn’t it be nice to communicate with a person going through the same challenges and glean insights that provide value in the decision making process?
The initial service is open to bank employees only. Users are verified with their respective banks, ensuring that we guard against spam, advertisements and trolls. For our part, Edwards and Associates, a financial consulting service provider, will contribute cybersecurity posts, forum contributions and oversight of the service.
We hope you consider joining and contributing to this community effort. Content is public so others who don’t have contributor accounts will be able to benefit from your advice and suggestions. Finally, we’re open to suggestions and ideas on how to improve the service, so don’t hesitate to message us.
